Delegation of Skolkovo Foudation in Luxembourg
On 17 — 18 of April the Skolkovo Foudation delegation visited Luxembourg. During its visit to the Grand Duchy the delegation studied the possible cooperation in the implementation of joint programs and development of start-ups.
As part of an intensive and effective visit there were talks at the headquarters of the Luxembourg Agency for the promotion of innovation and research “Luxinnovation” with the participation of representatives of all clusters of Luxembourg.
Particular attention was paid to the common priority areas of innovation
(technology in the field of energy, information and communication technology, space exploration, new materials, biomedical technology).
The visit allowed the participants to establish the business contacts with prospective partners. The general impression about the visit, that both sides shared, — it was very successful, demonstrating that economic cooperation between our two countries has a great future.
About the Skolkovo Foundation
The Skolkovo Foundation is a scientific and technological center responsible for developing and commercializing advanced technologies. It is a non-profit organization founded by the Russian President in September 2010. The aim of the Foundation is to mobilize Russia’s resources in the field of advanced applied research and to create an environment conducive to scientific research across five priority areas of technological progress: energy and energy efficiency, space, biomedicine, nuclear technology and IT. The project involves the creation of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology («SkolTech»), research centers, a business incubator, a technology transfer and commercialization center, representative offices of foreign companies and R&D centers, residential accommodation and social infrastructure, as well as subsequently promoting the effective system to other regions of Russia engaged in innovative activities. The activities of the Skolkovo Innovation Center are governed by a special law, which grants special economic conditions to its resident companies.
