On the opening ceremony of the monument in the cemetery of Bous
On May 9, within the framework of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War Russian Ambassador Mark Entin participated in the opening ceremony of the monument in the cemetery of the commune Bous. This monument was installed on the grave of two Soviet prisoners of war executed by the fascists. The tomb was discovered thanks to the research efforts conducted by the Russian Embassy and the Russian Science and Culture Centre. The Mayor of Bous contributed also a lot in this work.
In his speech the Russian Ambassador said that Russia was honoring its heroes and doing everything to find their remains everywhere to perpetuate their memory.
Father George of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church led the rite of consecration of the grave. The female choir of the Russian Diaspora in Luxembourg sang the song «Cranes».
