Reception in honor of the sponsors of the «Russian Ball» and the Russian stand at the International Bazaar and on the occasion of the inauguration of the «Eurasiart» association


On April 21, the Russian Embassy organized a reception in honor of the sponsors of two charitable projects – «Russian Ball» and the Russian stand at the International Bazaar. In addition, the cultural association «Eurasiart» was launched on the sidelines of the reception.

The event has been favorably received in Luxembourg. It brought together representatives of the government bodies, banks and financial institutions, science and culture organizations, the media, the Russian community – all those who have contributed to the organization of the charitable actions.

Etienne Schneider, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Minister of Internal Security, Defense Minister represented the Luxembourg government as traditional «patron» of the «Russian Ball». The cheques for the collected amount were handed over to the head of the Luxembourg charity association «SOS Village d’enfants».

In his speech Russian Ambassador Mark Entin expressed thanks to the sponsors and representatives of the Russian diaspora for their initiative and efforts to collect the money. In his turn Etienne Schneider stressed that organized events contributed to the strengthening of Russian-Luxembourg relations.

The ceremony of launching of the association «Eurasiart» has become a high point of the evening. In presenting this new organization, the Russian Ambassador Mark Entin informed that its objectives were to promote the culture of Eastern Europe and Asia in Luxembourg. He called for sponsors to support this important initiative.
