One of the central events of the session was the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee » Russia-NATO». It was dedicated to the exchange of views on the prospects of cooperation in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of the International Security Assistance Force from the country in 2014. The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to NATO Alexander Grushko addressed a conference with Russian assessments of the situation in Afghanistan. The clear and detailed answers of the senior Russian diplomat to questions of parliamentarians, including Syria, served as a confirmation of the usefulness of an open and non-judgmental dialogue on the most complex political issues.
