PRESIDENCY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL

On March 1, the Russian Federation has assumed the Presidency in the United Nations Security Council. In accordance with its fundamental approaches, aimed at ensuring equality, mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, Russia will build its work as the Security Council President based on the objective to resolve conflicts by solely peaceful means, expanding capacity for collective interaction in strict compliance with the statutory prerogatives of the UN Security Council and strengthening the legal principles in international relations.
