Asselborn on espionage on the EU
Yesterday on the radio station Deutschlandfunk the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn expressed concern over the publication of new data on the electronic surveillance by U.S. intelligence for the European partners. He made it clear that the scandal could derail negotiations for the conclusion of an important trans-Atlantic free trade agreement, promising to create new jobs.
Also yesterday, on a similar position Jean Asselborn spoke before the Chamber of Deputies. Asselborn also noted that Edward Snowden did not ask for political asylum in Luxembourg.
