Congress of the Christian Social Party

An extraordinary congress of the Christian Social Party was held in Ettelbruck. More than eight hundred delegates participated in this forum. They voted for the list of 60 candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections and discussed the elements of the electoral program to be approved in September.

The party leader Jean-Claude Juncker spoke to the delegates. In his speech he declared that the CSP should remain the most influential political force in the country and form a future government coalition. Among the priorities of the electoral program he pointed out the protection of the interests of hard workers, especially in the agriculture, as well as of family and childhood.
