Europe’s largest parties are ready for elections to the European Parliament

Elections to the European Parliament in the 28 EU member states will be held in May this year, and the leading party alliances already defined lists of candidates. It is assumed that each party will nominate a single candidate, who will head the pan-European campaign.

In European Parliament elections in 2014 the list of Party of European Socialists will be headed by German Martin Schulz.

Last week, the Christian Social Party of Luxembourg officially nominated former prime minister and current chairman of the parliament fraction of CSV in the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg Jean- Claude Juncker at the top of the list of the European People’s Party (EPP) in the upcoming European elections. The decision was taken unanimously at the party meeting on February 26.
