Grand Duke to conduct “series of consultations”

The Premier met with the Grand Duke on Thursday afternoon, following a meeting of the government earlier in the day, where it was suggested that the government and parliament remain in place until October, when snap elections are set to take place.

Luxembourg’s royal household has announced that the head of state, Grand Duke Henri, will take some time for “reflection” and “conduct a series of consultations”, following Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker’s request for a call for snap elections.
