Jean Asselborn visits the Slovak Republic

On Feb. 3, 2014 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, paid an official visit to Bratislava at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajcak.

During this visit Jean Asselborn met his counterpart as well as Prime Minister, Robert Fico, and Vice-President of the Slovak Parliament, Jan Figel .

The discussions focused on the strengthening of the bilateral relations by making them more dynamic, especially in the field of investment. Then both sides exchanged views on the European issues, in particular on the upcoming elections to the European parliament. The talks also provided an opportunity to review the regional and international problems like crisis in Ukraine, the situation in the Balkans and in Syria.
