Jean Asselborn’s working visit to Berlin
At the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank -Walter Steinmeier, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn visited Berlin December 20 to have an interview with his counterpart.
Jean Asselborn was the first foreign minister to be officially received by Frank -Walter Steinmeier, since his taking of the office on December 17.
The discussions were first allowed to take the state of bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries. Ministers welcome the excellence of these.
Ministers then reviewed the European and international politics.
They discussed in detail the latest developments within the European Union and engaged in an analysis of the situation in Ukraine. They also reported on the prospects of reviving the peace process in the Middle East, as well as the current situation in Syria and Iran.
