Jean-Claude Juncker at the summit of the Eastern Partnership (28-29.11.2013)
Prime Minister of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker participates in the Eastern Partnership Summit, which takes place in the capital of the Republic of Lithuania Vilnius from 28 to 29 November 2013.
Before the summit the Prime Minister of Luxembourg met with President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite. She handed him the Grand Cross of the Order of Vytautas the Great. The order was established to honor the Lithuanian and foreign citizens for meritorious service to Lithuania. The activity of Juncker towards the European integration was particularly marked.
The Eastern Partnership forum is attended by the representatives of 34 countries at the level of Heads of State and Ministers, as well as the EU leadership. The Eastern Partnership Summit participants will discuss the future of the program of cooperation between the EU and six post-Soviet countries — Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
It is expected that during the summit the agreement on visa facilitation between the EU and Azerbaijan will be signed.
