Jean-Claude Juncker meets with François Hollande
Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker met with the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, on September 26 in Metz.
The two European leaders have shown their political will to give a future to the activities in the steel industry in the Greater Region. Cooperation between Luxembourg and Lorraine will be strengthened in this context, among other things with regard to joint projects in Belval.
Hollande is also «very satisfied» with the fact that some 75,000 Lorraine inhabitants will work in Luxembourg.
Other items on the agenda were the political agenda of the European Union and the euro and the political prospects for the European elections in May 2014 area.
The meeting ended with a discussion on the situation in Syria.
The Prime Minister was the guest of the French President within the framework of the latter’s visit to support the steel industry in Lorraine.
