Jean-Claude Juncker met with students from European Schools and the Lycée Ermesinde

Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker met with final year students from both European Schools and the Lycée Ermesinde on Tuesday, talking to them about the future of Europe.

The Premier delivered honest answers, not shying away from criticism. For example, Juncker argued that the German economic model, which has seen Germany do well during the financial crisis, was not a model for Luxembourg. Juncker criticised the concept of low-wage jobs and the growing number of working poor stemming from it. He spoke out for minimum wages across the EU27, with fair labour regulations to ensure just working conditions.
