Live Gamer opens Luxembourg subsidiary
Luxembourg is to welcome a subsidiary of an internationally renowned digital and e-commerce expert, the Luxembourg government has announced.
According to a press release published on Monday, US-based firm Live Gamer is to open a Luxembourg subsidiary for its operations, the first in Western Europe.
The news comes as a great coup for Luxembourg, which has been working to improve its attractiveness within the digital media field.
“The government’s strategy for the development of connections to ultra-high speed and ultra-short time lag between Luxembourg and the primary centres of access to the Internet in Europe has succeeded in positioning the Grand Duchy as a platform important for digital activities, including online gaming,” Communications and Media Minister Luc Frieden said.
Live Gamer provides payment platforms and an ecosystem for advertising universal brands within the online gaming community.
Live Gamer founder Andrew Schneider said: “Considering its e-commerce, online gaming and digital media sectors, Luxembourg is a country which fits well with our business plan and expansion projects. We are excited about our business here and about being able to take advantage of the country’s technological framework and favourable business environment for companies.”
