Official working visit by the Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn to Russia
On the 24-25 February Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn will arrive in Moscow on a working visit. On February 25 Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov will conduct negotiations with his Luxembourg colleague.
The ministers will discuss the development of bilateral political dialogue, intensification of contacts on the highest and high levels as well as key aspects of Russian-Luxembourg economic, trade and investment cooperation.
Also ministers will discuss topical international issues with the emphasis on the upcoming on March Luxembourg Presidency in the UN Security Council. In this regard, the particular attention will be paid to the settlement of Syrian conflict, including its humanitarian aspect. Also is expected to discuss such topics as: reform of the UN Security Council, Middle East settlement, situation on the African continent, situation around the Iran’s Nuclear Programme and in Afghanistan. The issues of Russia’s interaction with the European Union and NATO are traditionally on agenda. The situation in Ukraine will be examined.
