On Luxembourg international visits
The Minister of Justice, Octavia Modert, received 8 July 2013 the Minister of Justice of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Ha Hung Cuong, who was on his working visit to Luxembourg. The discussions centered on reforms in the sphere of justice in Vietnam and other legal issues in civil and criminal matters.
Minister Octavia Modert informed her Vietnamese counterpart of the availability of the Luxembourg Government to set up an ad hoc cooperation in each case including the practice of exchanges of experts and exchanges of good practices.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, Albert F. Del Rosario was in Luxembourg on July 8 for a working visit., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building Saint Maximin.This first working visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines in Luxembourg has to review bilateral relations, particularly in addressing the political, economic and trade relations between the two countries. He was received by Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn with whom discussed political developments in the Philippines and in the region of Southeast Asia.
The Ministers also took the opportunity to make an inventory of relations between the Philippines and the European Union, and are, in this context, welcomed the signing of the Framework Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation (APC) EU — Philippines signed on 11 July 2012 that provides an appropriate framework for dealing with new challenges, including cooperation in the economic field, in energy and sustainable development and the promotion of democracy and the fight against terrorism.
The ministers ended their meeting with an overview of the major issues of international politics.
