Prime-minister Jean-Claude Juncker called for economizing

At the press conference following the Cabinet of ministers meeting Luxembourg Prime-minister Jean-Claude Juncker shared his vision of the economic situation development in the Grand-Duchy.

The eurozone does not demonstrate many signs of economic growth, and Luxembourg is no exception in this case. The results of Italian elections are a good example of the danger that populist tendencies represent – they can lead to a chaos, said Juncker. It is necessary to find the right balance between the economical measures and raising taxes.

Luxembourg will continue economizing public money in 2014. “We cannot afford to pile up debts of a bilion euros each year”, said the prime-minister.
